Description
New Earth and her allies had been fighting the Pentorrian Empire for sixty years, and twenty-five years of victories, had spread them across five galaxies thirty worlds, in twenty-five systems. So vast was the Pentorrian Empire. Then in one mighty blow the Pentorrian struck with the might of sixty worlds.
Earths mighty fleets were swept before the onslaught like bowling pins. There were no more Reikos, no more General Wons. No more Imperial Marines. They had been spent in countless battles, on to many worlds. The Pentorrian Armada swept past the small outpost seemingly not seeing them, as they recaptured the major worlds they had lost. In six months they had ten of their slave worlds back in their control.
For the men and women of Charlie Company, 149Th Regiment of the Colonial Marines, it meant one thing. Their outpost was now deep behind enemy lines. They had no communications, with command. Their supplies were nearly gone. They knew also that it was a matter of weeks before the Pentorrians would turn their attention to the far-flung small outpost they had left behind them.
What they didn't know was that the Pentorrians weren't going to waste its military might on these outpost, they had assigned them to the Orion Salvers. To be captured by these meant a lifetime in slavery or the main curse at an Orion banquette. The fifty eight soldiers of Charlie Company dug in to await the enemies return.
