Description

All models my own except the car, going for realism. I was always impressed with Vray for realism and wondered if I could better it with Maxwell... Had a lot of problems with Maxwell but i was determined to stick with it and now most problems ironed out. Took some of your crits and slightly modified this version. Please leave your comments...

Great photorealistic lighting - I wish I could pull this off myself - mind you, I'd change the tex on the bricks; add a little dirt to them

VERY nice work! I have tried the Maxwell engine as well as the native GI and AO settings in C4D. I'm sticking with Vray though..lol. So much easier to use and worlds faster. But great work here! What was the final render time? -chachi

It's an external render so it only took around an hour(5.2 Gig processor). Thats the annoying thing I'm sure if the POV was from inside the house you would have been looking at an over night job! Thanks for the comments...

Very good model and the whole scene seems natural. The only problem is that it is way too clean to look completely real. There should be nicks and scratches in stuff and rust, dirt and leaves. Things shouldn't line up perfectly, either. The bricks sitting next to the fence are a very nice touch and gives the image a more realistic feel. More of that stuff and you've got it! The ruffled curtains in the second floor window are also a very nice touch. +++++

You hit it with the realism even if it isn't a particularly exciting subject. Doesn't matter, life isn't sometimes. So, which is your preference? Vray or Maxwell? Please IM me to let me know. Thanks.
