This is for a sweet man who sees the world through the eyes of the children, and that is a wonderful thing indeed.
May all of us follow his lesson and think of the children a bit more in this new year.
Thank you, Dave, for sharing your wonderful words and art, I am proud to call you friend.
*hugs*

Wonderful work and tribute to an amazing man. Snowmen and children is ONE somehow. I appreciate Dave(Magnus073) a lot. He is my new found friend in these galleries. He is a very special person. With a very big heart. Dave deserves a tribute more than anyone for his amazing homework.

wow this is great Barb...and for a man who hasn't been here in some time, and yet who was one of the real lights here, a whole mansion we could all rest and bask in. Yes, he was (still is, I'm sure) one of the kindest and most caring people here, and yes, he had a childlike quality that's rare. He worked sooooooo hard on his dedis---at some point, everything he did was dedis, right? He'd get personal stories, work on them forever, and then painstakingly construct a key visual to capture the essence of the story; and he posted these over and over, while caring for family, doing a lot for friends (when a terrible tornado hit his town, he was out in the streets rescuing people from the rubble...), and somehow running a business all along. This was perfect for him, in words and image---I love the shiny snowpeople, and the rather sad one in the middle being cheered up by the other two, and that childlike winter scene like something out of Currier and Ives. Love the silvery lighting on the snowpeople too. A real delight. I'm 10 years late, but a great dedi never grows old...you really have terrific stuff back here. I've eyed the fractal thumbnails and they are radiant! (My backgallery should be shut down, by comparison: If it weren't for the comments, I'd erase it all!) I really am taking a break, but I'll be back here...it's a treasure chest back here!
