Description

Still sticking with the modelling theme I produced this generator-type looking contraption last night. I had actually designed it on paper in my lunch hour at work, so was eager to get home to see what it looked like in 3D. There are nearly 200 separate objects in this one together with 4 booleans. It took 3 hours to complete the model and then I had a nightmare trying to get the lighting right. After a further 2 hours of trying I still wasn't happy with the lighting but this one seems to be the best. I probably should have had a light source coming from the central sphere, but sometimes you don't realise these things until upload time ... oh well. Many thanks for viewing my work and for all your kind comments. Enjoy ... Tony :-)

Excellent modelling Tony, well worth the time spent. Could do with one of these to stop the winter power cuts. Very well constructed. Happy New Year to you and yours.

Great modeling job Tony! Electrical bolts inside the central sphere might have been the ticket...:)))

Amazing details on this object. I like the way you have kept the same surface scheme for most of the parts with the exception of the rings and the dome. Now, plug 'er in and let's see what it can do....Excellent modelling.

Personnally I think the lights is pretty cool in this scene. The details of the model is clearly visible and if a light in the centre sphere would've made a great difference that I not so sure about! Splendid modeling again Tony! Muis
