I find that I have slowed down too, Mick. This time of year for me (with no snow) is a time where I venture out the least... I have a bank of images, luckily. :-) Do you ever sharpen your images in post-processing?

Great idea and shot. The weather is not so good here also, I have the same problems. Make the best of it!

Excellent picture. Nice cooking utensils, and spices. You need to mix in a little jalapeño, chili, and cilantro.. lol.. :) Oh, and get you some stainless steel measuring spoons, those plastic ones don't go with your set! ;) Todd

Awesome Shot!! I have put my D50 in a bag to take photo's in the rain, but they didn't come out very good so I don't do it anymore.

I'm a freak for kitchen gadgets. I collect everything from the essential to the "you've-got-to-be-kidding." I love this shot! I have a whole different assortment of herbs though since I grow most of them myself. Did I say I love this shot?

Why do you think my gallery suddenly has so many cat and dog pictures in it? lol :o) I think this is an excellent image, even so. It's making me hungry, though. I find I am baking and cooking more with the weather so grungy outside. Lots of wind and rain here this week, and no sun!

Me too! Shack fever is not fun for photographers! I say - time to experiment with different single light sources and play with still life and shadows. This image is cool. The box of bay leaves on top is a very comical way to offset the symmetry!

I spent 18 years working as a Hospital Cook Mick(I know,Iknow Hospital food). I retired through ill health but wasn't something I ate lol. Good to see you have a good veriety of herbs and spices, I try not to buy too many of those ready meals. Oh and thanks I'm feeling bit better, but still daren't go out. still got chest infection.

LOL....... I think you should run out of ideas more often........ all we need is a "WELCOME TO MICK'S KITCHEN" sign :) I couldn't help but giggle at this innovative and yet super creative idea. These spices are wonderful mind you, love cooking with Thyme and Sage..... mmm can just smell it... Awesome work Mick!

Oh! I get it. This is stuff people use when they cook food in the kitchen isn't it? LOL! (You'll notice that all my food shots are things OTHER people prepared!) I like this! It's very educational. :)

It's sounding as if your weather has taken a serious turn. Stay warm and safe and know all things change; so, you'll be back outside, soon! I like the cleaver, as it looks as though it may have been used awhile!
