Description

A sparkling orb slid down resolution I cupped my hand o'er my solution Neatly tucked under my sleeve softly beating in its reprieve I smiled through a friendly face letting idle chatter set the pace The full moon finally touched the ground my quivered beats made not a sound No arms were wrapped in warm embrace nor lips to touch or kiss my face As New Year opened up her eyes she peered at me through cold, gray skies As I made my trek back home music came in wheels that droned Playing a lover's melody unchained a tear streaked heart is all that remained The sun streaked clouds with shards of silver heartfelt sobs ebbed in quickened shivers I finally see what I cannot change I don't feng shui upon your stage ~~~~ For some holidays are a very lonely time. Just putting myself in someone else's shoes.

Beautiful and sad poem. Mom was in bed and I was watching a vampire movie when the orb slid down. Didn't realize a year passed during the movie (and it wasn't that good of a movie either..lol) I can relate to this poem and image. Wishing I also had someone to share the new year with (and a life). But I'm an optimist and expect things to change for the better when the time is right. I own a big empty heart and waiting for someone to come along and help fill in the space. Anyway, hope your Holiday was more cheerful than appears. Big hugs and again, Bravo on the poem and image Michelle. xxxoooxxx Dave :^)

Very nicely done poem. Excellent. Sometimes it's hard to put ourselves in others shoes. We're so caught up in our own problems and lives. Hugs Maria
