Description

This picture was for the 'High Seas' Challenge on the DAZ site in November 2007. I put the theme forward for the pole myself because it's something I wanted to explore. In fact, I posted around 60 pictures for that challenge and produced seventy. The inspiration for all that came from the fact that my Mother was a great fan of sea pictures. I call this one 'The Betty' after her. Bryce and Photoshop. dmrc_enabled_wbtn.gif

All my images have an embedded digital ID throughout, which cannot be removed, even from a cropped section, and is registered.

Outstanding work, considering water transluscence and wave spray is really difficult to portray.

Wow - the water work is stunning. Excellent job of capturing the movement and flow of the waves. I can almost feel the wind in this picture as it tosses the boats about. Great job!

This too is a Master piece, Peter. You really managed to make the ocean come alive on this picture. Beautiful picture. The ships a very realistic too. I think i really understand why you mother loved high seas pictures. I lived most of my life very close to the ocean. And i spent 1000s of hours just sitting on a bench watching both angry and calm seas. The ocean always made me calm. Even when i showed it's teeth. Except for the days when i was fishing from industry ships. I got rather seasick from time to time ;) Nice to see your picture on the homepage btw. You look cool. :)

I love sailing ships! Though I know life on them as a sailor was very hard, I can't help but be swept up by the romance their images create. This is a beautiful image and wonderful dedication to your mother. I love the detail in the water. Excellent white tendrils of foam and exciting splashes of spray! Beautifully textured clouds and lovely light! Very nice!
