Wendy, yes the bug is slightly out of dof but this is about the bud, isn't it? That bud is what makes this a beautiful photo.

is it not amazing how many different ways bugs are made and each seems to have a purpose.your composition is excellent.the flower is in focus and with 100 macro lens it is a toss up on which thing is in focus.some times I back off to get better depth of field
