Description

This is an Australian Bobtail Goanna, also known as a Blue Tongued Lizard. I got a bit of a fright when I opened the back door this morning and when taking a step out accidently kicked it. As you can see, it was fine but obviously got as much of a fright as what I did. They're not very small and can inflict a bite which can become badly infected so I was lucky. We gently moved it on away from the house and haven't seen it since. Thanks for looking :)

Hard to tell who scared who more, but just the fact you got this foto is amazing!! He doesn't look happy at all, I'm glad you both survived the encounter!!
