I collect 1/18th Scale model cars I have about 20. It's cold and wet outside so I have had a go at photographing some of them.

hehe, from the angle of the shot, I had to look twice because I thought you took a picture of the real car, nice capture :D

Seems a bit flat to me in composition: you are obviously using wide angle macro at close range here (judging from the angle of the spoiler and the front section) and it might have been better to go for a perspective where you could see the bonnet from the front corner of the car, you would still see the length of the car but would also get some depth to the shot. Also you seem to have a noise problem going on along with a bit of camera shake (or at least it isnt as clear as it could be going by my judgement on how good that Ricoh is ). Sorry to step out from the crowd, but i thought you might appreciate honest critique. Always good to play around at home with lights... i can see you are struggling with brightness of lights by the shutter speed and aperture... a smaller aperture would be better to get some crisp details (lenses never perform at their best down at 2.8 - unless you are talking about f/1.2 L-series lenses ;)) - so try piling on the lights or play around with bouncing a flash about. You got that lens yet? :)
