Description

Another shot from our shoot at the Vance house in Memphis, Tennessee. Here I'm on the very top of the stairs looking down three stories. The black and white tile you see there is the first floor. I am told that a long time a go a heavy set house maid, named Cookie, resided in the room at the top of the stairs. Some say that to this day you can still hear the stairs creak from her footsteps. That day while standing there I did feel a heaviness and uncomfortableness. There was nothing menacing or bad, only a sense of uneasiness and anxiety. Maybe it stemmed from own fear of heights and imagination but I can't but wonder if maybe just maybe I pick up on how Cookie must have felt everytime she walked up and down those windong stairs often with nothing more than the glow from a handle candle to see by. Well, thanks for stopping by. More pictures from this house can be seen in my previous posts and here in Marshall's gallery.

Looking at this image, it's easy to believe that house is haunted. That aside, it's a great shot!
