Oh boy! Those props! I reckon a mini-tutorial on props might be a good thing for everyone. The human eye is not a camera and has no shutter speed, which is what we look at when we see a photograph. Try looking at a revolving prop. From the front you cannot see it. From the side it's nearly solid, but from three quarters you actually see something, according to how many blades are present. This something is always to difficult to portray and only trial and error will produce an acceptable result. Very few artists seem to be able to get realism in this department and sadly I do not appear to be one of them. I like the Lightnings, though. A lovely and much understated aircraft. Deadly when in the proper hands, as the Luftwaffe found out.

i think this is wonderful work, but i am not sure about the props. if the aircraft were flying slowing, feathering the props, they might be this visible, but not high speed, i think. see this pic, for an example: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=1426350
