Description
La Canna Treno, The Cane Train....
Since I had some comments on the cute little loco sign in my previous posts of the cane rail tracks, I thought I would show you all what one looks like!
Cane farmers around my discrict are nearly all of Italian nationality, most are 3rd or 4th generation cane farmers, so I thought I would put the title in Italian (hope I got it right) to honour them.

This is really beautiful, something I never knew existed. I love your story about the cane farmers and their backgrounds.

My granfather used to drive these canetrains back in the 40's until he retired from the mill. My mum and her family grew up amongst the cane fields and said you knew when grandad was coming home from the mill as the loco would be going to fast and it's horn would be tooting away due to him having to many beers after dumping the haul! My grandad and grandmother are now buried up in the canefields cemetry with all the other workers that have passed on.

Looking at this I could easily mistake this for young corn. What a marvelous shot and so very interesting.

these fields holds more meaning than just another cane field to you.the small train is so interesting and I have not seen one so small.obviously it done the job-like the children's story about "the little train that could".your story is outstanding as your capture
