Description

Looking down from atop the massive, high-density complexes that scrape the skyline of this modern world, the city is alive with activity and resembles a mechanized beehive as people come and go from point to point on a round-the-clock schedule. With six lanes and twenty-two levels, the urban skyways move literally countless people, goods and materials in, out and around the concrete and steel monoliths that make up the urban landscape of a city that never sleeps. This image was actually done in two separate renders in Vue 6 Infinite which combined ended up being many million polys more than it needed to be ; ) The main structures in this piece are all Dystopia city blocks with some face detailing added with Stonemason's Urban Future and lots of little greeble bits. The main landing dock area was built for this scene and is available at C3D for the Vue users out there. There was a lot of great freebie content used in this one, so I'll try to credit everyone that has so graciously made their stuff available: Team Dystopia: Dystopia Rooftop Access Thor Danielson: Nurnies Pack 1-20 Stonemason: Dystopian Skytraffic Vanishing Point: Landspeeder Andre Muller: A-Wing Dan North: Air Taxi Thanks for looking!

Another very nice scene! I've just spent the last several minutes looking at the full size image trying to take in all the details. I keep trying to peer into the lower levels to see what I can make out. Great work, as usual!

Being an individual who does not do very well with heights, this is an awesome POV. The realization of the height factor in this render amplifies its creativity. Bravo!

Stunning work as always, you've really just gonna sit back and soak in the details on this one. I love how you've peppered people here and there around this massive metropolis, and those little details like a long shadow cast on the main landing dock, a loose panel, a parked forklift, are all nice touches as well.

Geesh, I think my computer would physically try to hurt me if I had that much going on in one image. Lots of busy detail but nothing looks like clutter. Really a great piece of work.

Fantastic depth of dirty, grimy, steamy textures. Lots of levels to admire. Like the couple sitting on the ledge and the entrance with the backlit character. Always a treat to see these dense compositions.
