perfect title and describes it to a "T".definitely the best Bryce I have seen this year.I never seen an Apo in Bryce.did you import it as a png?

I used an Apo flame saved as a tif file (though a bmp or jpg will work too) which I then imported into Bryce 5 as a terrain map using the terrain editor. Tweaked the terrain and then applied the same image as the material for the terrain. Added the "beans" and the rest is a bunch of playing around with other lighting and material settings Thanks for the comments
