Description
Driving down the motorway.
Heard on the news
Government quibbling
On Oceans Rising
Islanders pleeding as their homes are submerged
Look out the window of my metal fortress
Every other car that I can see
Carries only one person
In a box meant for four at least
....And the oceans rise
........
This is the first time I have put a effort into texturing. Render time was twelve and a half hours. Viewing at full size is recommended.

Fantastic render. Excellent composition and ATMOS, as well. Really like all of the makes and models of the vehicles you used.

Powerful image and statement!! Don't worry though, when fresh water becomes a limited resource, we will all build de-salination plants like Arabia, and suck the sea back down to normal levels! We are so hosed....

I'd like to say I agree with this projection into our future ... but with India launching a $2,500 car today (Jan., 10, 2008) I'm afraid we and our planet are screwed. Image that, a $2,500 car to be marketed in China and India ... millions of new cars will be manufactured and then trashed, like disposable litter, to say nothing of the fuel consumption and the addition of hundreds millions of tons in new pollutants. (Sorry for the rant) I forgot! Wonderful image! Thanks for posting and the wake-up call.
