Description

this piece is dear to my heart...i get a rush whenever i sit and ponder this "balls to the wall" dash across the wide open sea, drool and all, (low level flight and riding a motorcycle give me the same rush)...i tried a number of different venues, including flat water and with no ships, but they all look as exciting to me...modeling the water was a biggie in this one, and the lighting was problematic as well...the result is very satisfying to me, and probably to the tars aboard the ships that happened to be in the draco's flight path. posed in poser, floated out to sea, lighted, and rendered in vue, and wrung out in photoshop. (casualties...7 seasick grips and and one of noggin's seagulls who got stuck between someone's sharp teeth) daz mil dragons, kaol sea traveler...(a real beauty), and foamy spray by that patient and elegant modeler, forester.

I don't go for dragon scenes usually but the layout of elements in this scene has really won me over.the fade out..water swell and the body movement all brings about a wonderfully active motion to the scene..terrific Bill. 5+
