This is a scan of a print taken at a Renaissance Faire probably 20 years ago...So many photo opportunites at these events... Many thanks to all who have viewed and commented on my recent submissions..really appreciated...

The original portrait is certainly very beautiful. I do not see what the print is. Once coming to the scan made, the skin texture appears very damaged. I would have added some local blur with the Blur Tool but… NOT on the background Layer, but on a separate one (e.g. you call it Correction Layer) and, in the tool's Option bar (Photoshop 6 or later) you check the button "Use all Layers". So if you are doing something wrong you can correct without any risk for your original image. Once finished you can flatten the Layers and save in a maximum quality Jpg format (quality 12), preferably with another name than the original pict.
