It was a screenshot I set up in FSX (Microsoft Flight Simulator 10) and then I appied all the effects using Photoshop. I spend most of the time during a flight moving the external camera around the aircraft waiting for the right lighting, cloud formations or reflections off of the water etc. and can take a large amount of pictures during a relatively short flight just to pick out one I like for editing. Yea, landing is probably the hardest part, but quite necessary to avoid running out of fuel :-)
