Description
Today I had to have Nickie put to sleep. She had a tumor on her mouth that was causing her problems.
The picture is of a field near our home were she used to run and play. I know she is watching over us and no longer suffering, but I will miss her.

So sorry for your loss. It is always sad when a member of the family crosses over the rainbow bridge, but she is in a better place and out of pain. Always sunshine, plenty of bickies whenever she wants, lots of grass to roll in and she will always be there with you. So sorry, I've been in your place and it is never easy. Big cuddles.

so sorry i also have been in this situation twice ,its not a position i would like to be in again but that is life .i said i would`nt have another dog because of the heartbreak but my grandaughter persuaded me otherwise in the form of a mad spriner spaniel . mick

I'll shed some tears with you if you don't mind. This is so touching and so heartwarming. She looks like such a sweet and loving friend. I had to make a similar choice a little over a year ago. My Old Man was so much a part of me that I still feel the emptiness. No more soft looks, or unwaivering devotion. No more the silky touch of his tongue on my hand to let me know how special I am to him, and no more do I hand him treats to reward his unconditional love. Your tribute is wonderful and if there is a way, I know she will walk beside you always just as I believe My Old Man does.

Awww I am so sorry to hear of your loss, bless her she was such a beautiful girl, but as you say she is at peace now, and in time my friend the pain will lessen as you remember more and more your happy memories with her. My thoughts are with you at this sad time - warm and gentle hugs Jane xx
