Description
Honey Bees and Cotton
There is a land that is almost forgotten.
It is filled with honey bees and tall cotton.
The hills are dotted with bushes and shrubs;
And you can see small birds looking for grubs.
The houses are all lined up in neat little rows;
And on each of them there are brightly colored bows.
Tucked away in a small little hollow,
There lives a turtle dove and a swallow.
Each morning you can hear them sing;
And with them the sunlight they bring.
There is a valley all filled with trees;
There the buttercups are visited by bees.
In the meadow in a forgotten nook
There the wheat shafts by the wind are shook.
At the end of the meadow there live some fairies.
Who come out at night to pick blue berries.
This place on a map you will not find.
To travel here you must go to the recesses of your mind.
It is hidden way down deep.
You will only see it when you sleep.
So dream the dream that is so true,
And this land will surely come to you.
