Excellent image. I, too, have seen discarded and spent party poppers laying around. They have a kind of forlorn, lost aspect about them. A sort of reminder of past happiness. Well spotted. :-)

Oh, very nice shot, Mike. Nice use of depth of field too. Watch out for putting the main subject in the middle of your shot. It's apparently against the rules of photography. Nicely done though.
