I know, this is not the classical Still Life.
But don't you agree with me that this is a form of abiding life, waiting still for spring to warm it, bringing forth the ever sprouting life force?
Can you tell I long for spring now? :)

A wonderful capture of still life! As much as I yearn for spring and the bountiful natural life forms it brings about, I must say that an image likes this makes me wish it was Winter for just a little longer :) Where I live, there is barely any snow on the ground.... whereas this is a true Winter Scene, offering so much beauty and tranquility. A lovely inspiring image!
