Description

Okay this gives more away about the wings. Something I was also reluctant to do, but then this kind of membrane isn't for everyone. I won't say what it is, but I'm sure many can guess. But note that is not the only option. This is the Skywyrm, a wingspan that can carry it's weight in the air, and a long tail to balance him when he's on the ground. I'm largely posting these images now for two reasons. One, being to begin building a bit of hype, and two to motivate me to finish it so that I can market it. This is what I hope to be the first in a series of dragons, of varying kinds. This particualr one, the Skywyrm here you'll note borrows much of the wing design from reign of fire which means it doesn't fold right up like a bat might. There will be others down the road like that though. This guy instead when he is on the ground uses his wings to walk on, but also shield his body, as they extend down to his tail when up next to him. Anyways, I could go one for a long while about this beast, but I won't. Heh, at least not yet. There will be many more revealing shots as I go along. I have many renders I've already made, and will make many more. No head close up just yet. He can be shy . . . as you can see here just waking him makes him a Grumpy Guss. :P Surly to be sure. Cheers, thanks for looking, Swidhelm

Wicked! the lighting and fire effect are right on. The detail of the wings is second to none. I know we haven't seen a nice close up of the head yet, but what I can see from the smaller images looks just as good. The overall design is really sound.... and I think that's what makes him seem so realistic. If all the dragons turn out this good, you can count on me to buy every one of them :)

He/she looks even better this close up and I think Forevernyt must be on to the special feature, the textures/bump mapping looks superb and top work on the fire.
