Description
This little chapel is located along the road between Plansee and Reutte. The road connects Ettal/Oberammergau via Linderhof, Germany with Reutte, Austria. I took this road to Reutte to buy gasoline. Gasoline is a few cents lower per liter in Austria than in Germany. It probably cost me more to drive there than I saved, but I enjoyed the drive. This road is frequently closed because of avalanche danger.
Despite the fact that it hadn't snowed for a few days, these trees, and the chapel, still had a lot of snow. At this time of the year the sun doesn't reach this area, hence the deep snow. This picture was taken on 22 December 2007.
