On November 30th 1941 the Army’s cadets and Navy’s middies played in Municipal Stadium in Pennsylvania. Captain Victor “Pug” Henry was in Manila, listening in on the wireless, he was on his way to Pearl Harbor to take command of the battleship California. The Navy won 14 to 6, but he never got to command the California due to the damage done just seven days later.
