Description

I guess I should have zoom in on more stuff as I took these shots but I kinow times was running out too as the Sun was comming out . It was overcast too and that why the fog did not burn off fast but in mid moring The last image I should have zoom over the foreground as I do not have a boat or hip waiters to walk out there. I do not have a gun too which i thinking of getting if I going to walk around. But I can not shoot any gators . just one man can and he lives in New Iberia. A old man that lives around lake Martin say they had a mean gator and they had to kill it. They called the man in New Iberia to come and shoot it but the man told them to get the gator and bring it to his house which they did and the man shot the gator there, lol. Wish I was there at the time. thanks for looking and comments too; votes too

if it was me or a gator I would not hesitate shooting it.dam the conversationalists, when means a human life then I would feel no remorse.if the gator kills you then are they going to send out a posse and put it on death row? another exceptional swamp capture

I loved on the bayou when I was growing up and my best friend lived about 2 miles down the way. She once showed me a b/w shot of her and her brother sitting on the back of a 9 foot gator that they found in their backyard one morning. Guess it crawled up there and died for whatever reason. The folks sat the little ones on its back and took photos. :-) I look at this and see so much life everywhere. I love it. Great shot with the long view of the swamp and the mist in the distance. Really a comfortable shot.

These swamp fotos, are so great, you really have captured their essence!! I saw a fresh water croc in Mexico last year. I was walking on the bridge over the river and 2 young girls were wading in water about 3 feet deep. All of a sudden they screamed and I looked up just in time to see the croc go back into the water. They were far enough away not to be in any real danger, but he probably had friends somewhere close by. He wasn't huge, maybe 6 or 7 feet, but I'm sure he could do some damage!!

A fine shot of the eerie spot, Jock! I'm still waiting for The Creature from the Black Lagoon to pop out of the water and come strolling up to the shore.
