Description

I on a road takeing the photo; forgot the name of the road but this look like time stood still here. If you getting tried of these images of the swampy Lake Martin please tell me. My work was say to look like every one elses. He say too it looks demonic too lol. Oh well can not please every one. thanks every one; one of my images made it to the art charts. First one in a long time. And I did not put voodooo on it to make it go there. I think demonic and all that stuff is wrong so I do not know why some one would think that of my work and say it looks like every one eles work in the same breath. May be some one would help me understand that part of my work; I just do not understand?? any way ;thanks for all your help and comments too. the good, the bad, and the ugle too.

I can't see where the demonic tag comes from Jocko, as it is its a great picture of a swamplandscape. If you played around with it, it could be made into a scary, mysterious backdrop, as could quite a few of your shots. I find that exciting, I love the low misty shots where you can't see the base of the trees in the water, they could certainly be used by people that do scary renders, you know, the monster from the swamp, that type of thing. Demonic, that would suggest to me an old ruined church for example, demons after all come from Hell and most demons(allegedly) are summoned in religious places. You have your own 'style' of photography Jocko, and your pictures are not 'the run of the mill' by that I mean they are most certainly not the same as everybody elses. You do have quite a few 'Top notch shots' in your gallery. Tell them to go and bull shit someone else. Right, now to this shot. I like the way the foreground has quite a bit of colour to it whilst further away it goes to monochrome. The bright green, bottom right fore ground then the next line looses some and gets duller, and so it goes, the mosses hanging down give it that scary swamp image. The type of place you expect a croc or a gator to poke its snout and eyes out of the water. Great pov, excellent capture, you usually have a good narrative to accompany the image, which is always a plus in my book, certainly worth five of anybody rating points, plus more in my oppinion. Bravo!!!!! 5+++++

Jocko, don't worry about the critics. At least they are looking! I am not tired of these. If you are anything, it is original! Nice shot and I love the little inlet. I would like to paddle a canoe through there...if the gators are gone...
