"Ice Ice Baby" ~ Robert Matthew Van Winkle

Here is a brief return to a long-ago (Dec. 2005) series of mine named Deep Ice. It is currently at pages 31 and 32 of my gallery so probably will not be seen by any member who joined renderosity since then. If you have the time, feel free to check out the links below to see the rest of the series.

I had not posted all of the images at the time and happened to find this one while searching my hard drive for something else. Put simply, this is a set of photos taken of ice cubes in various liquids, lit various ways and with the colors altered a bit. This one was taken through the material of the cup holding the ice, and dew was beading on the surface. The very shallow depth of field accounts for only the two areas to each side of the center being in sharp focus. I'd like to dedicate this one to Mark Spooner and his imaginative, wide view abstracts. Best viewed at Full Size. -----

It's amazing what you made with colored ice! My favorite is this one with the warm goldish clors but the others are splendid too.I looked up in your gallery but there are only 30 pages.Would be interesting to see all colors in the same page. 10* from me
