Description


The Manor House now a Hotel and country club with a fine golf course, was very much the heart of the breathtaking medieval village of Castle Combe. The Manor House had many Lords of the Manor. The most influential of which, was Sir John Falstoff, who become the fictional character immortalised by Shakespeare in Henry IV. Sir John Falstaff.

Some of the rich and powerful railroad magnates built large estates years ago here in the US, but nothing we have can compare to the beautiful old estates in Europe, and none here can match the history that these fine British estates have. Lovely image and terrific saturated colors, especially all around the puddle!
