Description
This was taken in December 2007. We had a major ice storm come through here. 260,000 people lost power just in our metro area. over 500,000 State wide. It took over a week to get power restored to everyone. Oklahoma City didn't get hit as hard as we did and they had 5,000 tons of tree debris. We had over 500,000 tons! It looked like a bomb had gone off in some neighborhoods with all the trees fallen and blocking streets. It always amazes me that something so beautiful can be so destructive.

my brother was without power for 8 days as my sister but she was lucky for only 3 days.excellent capture and thanks for sharing it

We were lucky here in southern Oklahoma didn't get hit like they did further north, it hit us here back in 2000 I was out of power for over a week not much fun. Your so right very beautiful and just as destructive, excellent shot well done!!

Yes, it's very beautiful until things start breaking. We haven't had an ice storm yet this winter, but we usually do.
