Description

Went back to September for this shot, with the brown tones of winter all around me I needed some color. This Neon Skimmer provided the color I was looking for. This shot was taken in the Chickasaw National Recreation Area. Thanks for your views and your comments.

I agree that this sure looks like a Neon Skimmer. It is definitely a mature male. My guidebook shows they range to south central Oklahoma just north of the Red River. Nice capture. They don't seem to travel to my area. Lee
