Description

This is dedicated to Rita ( Three_grrr ) who is a truly wonderful lady and dear friend. Her photos are amazing and I was instantly pulled in to her gallery by the photos of her dogs and the camping trips she takes. On top of that she also does some really amazing fractals that I also enjoy. During our friendship Rita has been very supportive of Veronica and my nieces and asks about them a lot. Rita told me some fun stories of their adventures camping with her husband and the dogs and one story I loved was of the their encounter with a skunk. Uninvited Guest: The oldest dog Gracie Anne and her side kick Murphy were smart enough to not go near what looked like a kitty in the forest, but B-Dog being young and having never seen a skunk boldly ran into the woods after it. I was wondering what it would have looked like if B-Dog had been chased back to their camp instead of getting sprayed in the woods and this is what I came up with. In my mind I can see the look of horror on Rita's face as the skunk is right behind B-Dog as they enter their camp. Both kids yelling and begging for them to stay back. Hope it provides some smiles. A wonderful and well composed scenario, Dave. And a fine dedication to Rita. She is a nice person. This is a lovely and funny childhood memory. The skunk bring great humor into this scene.#:oD Great expression on all the characters. Since the beautiful German Shepherd, Gracie Anne, passed away on August 1.st 2008. Almost 14 years old, which is very high for German shepherd. This dedication has also become a nice memory to Rita, of a lost and faithful friend.

Since I'm no where withing olfactory range, this is a totally fun image! This uninvited guest can definitely ruin a relaxing camping trip. Excellent poses and expressions on the two legged and the four legged animals. The kids look totally flummoxed and one of the dogs has a "Okay, what now?" look and the other seems to be looking for the best avenue of safety. Wonderful composition and lighting. They look like they are deep in the woods. I like the dappled light on the children, the forest floor and the haystack! Terrific story and image!

Bella e divertente questa immagine !E รจ facile capire l'espressione quasi terrorizzata dei ragazzi .Non deve essere cosa piacevole un incontro ravvicinato con la puzzola ! Beautiful and fun on this! It is easy to see the expression almost terrified of them. Not a pleasant thing to be a close encounter with a skunk!

I love the humour that you have created in this wonderful scene and it is a lovely dedication to Rita and her dogs. I can just imagine this happening and your expressions say it all. Excellent work with the posing of all the characters and thank you for brightening my day so well.

Your images of kids at play are adorable -- and so nostalgic. Every time I look at one, it makes me remember life as a kid. Sweet, fun -- and all we were scared of (most of us, hopefully) was the Wolf in the Forest. I wish you'd render more. :-)
