Description

This deer has only one antler. Last year I photographed one with only one antler on the opposite side. Any Clues?

I know that Elk shed their antlers. But dont think that deer do. Probably broke off in a fight .Very cool looking shot

Nice photo, Yes deer do shed their antlers annually as a prelude to the regeneration, or re-growth, of new ones!
