Description

Located near the Utah & Arizona desert borders in the States, Monument Valley is a national park with ancient, weathered rock outcroppings known as buttes. They dot the mostly desert landscape. This is my view of one of these large monolithic buttes as if it was spotlighted at night showing all of its magnificent details. This was an all day Saturday project. Especially toying around with mats to get the right look and feel of the rock. I purposely allowed the upper portion of the butte to fade into the top edge of the render to give a sense of height. Enjoy and as always, thanks for viewing and commenting. Bryce...Frame in IrfanView, sharpening and resizing in Paint.Net.

The use of spotlights and cameras in Bryce is fascinating and can make wonders, just like in this brilliant composition of yours, Keith! Excellent mood, render and original concept.

Wonderful Canyon, you could add some kind of house down there where the light comes from, maybe a tourist-stop or just an old hut...

Wonderful image Keith and must have taken a lot of work when basing it on something real. Your design skills are apparent in this image as I've had a look at Monument Valley on Google and you've done an excellent job, this is why I'm putting it as a favourite of mine. Great work as always. Tony :-)
