Description

The 3 spacecraft from the Tanglimaran base on Magrathea have been forced to change course and fly low over the dying planet of Ganymede. This is to avoid the Zarquon Nebula that moves ever closer to Ganymede and its 2 doomed moons ... This is my first attempt at a space scene and the spacecraft in this image have been modelled by myself using Bryce primitives only. Any comments and critiques are most welcome. Enjoy ... Tony. I have free stuff available here on Renderosity if you fancy a look.

Great looking space render, Tony. I think your attempt has turned out awesome. I especially like the surface mats you have used on the terrains which you have constructed, and the nebula and 2 moons add depth. The 3 space crafts add movement and an additional point of interest to the render.

I dare not ask how long the nebula took to render, so I'll rather just commend you on an astounding good sci-fi image! Excellent work on the whole scene Tony. Muis

I love the terrain and the ships, you also did a good job with the surface of the moons. If you use Photoshop, you might be interested in a couple of things for these kinds of shots: This is a tutorial for explosions in photoshop, but it works really well for nebulae as well, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F1dAedHmsuk Also, there's an awesome couple of plugins that aren't too expensive for Photoshop: www.flamingpear.com - Check out "Glitterato" for starscapes, and "Lunarcell" for plantets/moons. This is a very cool image, and I thought you might like these added tools.
