Hard to describe Artmatic in a short text. Lets say its a modular graphic synthesizer. You can combine several hundreds of maths primitives and textures to create 2D and 3D systems. Best you take a look at www.artmatic.com. ArtMatic Voyager can render 3D Artmatic surfaces as well as built in planets or combination of both.
