Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

I can see you on the bike, Marilyn, a wonderful piece of writing. It has a great beat to it. I feel like dancing :-) Hugs. Diane.

Very nice...you make it easy to picture on you that bike! Umm what kind of bike are we talkin bout here? Have you a motorcycle? Too cool! If so you are my hero! I've always wanted to be a biker chick. But alas, I can ride neither the peddle nor motor kind.

This time you make us use our brains and imagination, very clever. I love the poem and I have a view of you tearing around the countryside on your bike. hugs Jane xx

very cool!

Nice concept, but I was fully expecting a chick on a bike photograph! Fine prose in this narrative, which others mistake for a poem. I believe it would fall into the category of an ode.

wonderful. I love biker chicks

Wow! This is fabulous! The rhythm is awesome. Every time you say "there she goes," I can see her whizzing by. Nice!!

There's so much left for us to imagine! Pedals or an engine, Did she get the shot... It seems so wild and free spirited, it feels that the ride alone is enoughand the perfect shot is added bliss. Wonderful picture you've painted here!

Ooh, I missed this one, but I am glad I found it now...great image and wonderful text...I love the repetitive nature the opening lines in each stanza...fantastic reinforcement, but each stanza has its own, somewhat different cadence...great. And the image that accompanies the text wonderfully done!
