Description
There's a full moon out tonight, and I finally have this render done, after several months of trying different things to have for a full moon posting. Yeah, the moon may not have a whole lot to do with Vampirella, but I'm sticking to it. Maybe I'll do a more appropriate full moon related render another time.
Dozens of test renders, with about 20 saved renders. I went through four variations on this before I decided to stay with what I have here. There comes a point when you have to say, it's done, and it's time to move to the next step. This incarnation took five renders to complete (mostly to improve upon how Vampi's suit looked rendered), plus a sixth render for the alpha (since one of my changes meant none of the alphas from the others were right for the finished image anymore).
I tried playing around with my own lighting, but got nowhere fast, so I went back to using lights I already had. It could have done with a bit more work on her smile and where she's actually looking, but I don't think it's a big issue. I've done worse.
I'm not particularly pleased with the postwork on the goblet and the trickle of blood running down from the corner of Vampi's mouth. But it'll have to do. I'm not used to doing much postwork, and doing it with a mouse doesn't make it any easier.
I think I'm calling it done. If I keep going back and fixing every little thing I don't like about it or re-rendering to see if I can get it to look better than what I already have, I might never get it finished.

cool - I think vampirella looks great :) love her expression !! I think the blood in the chalice looks too bright and red. but this is not a big problem to fix, and needs not much postwork ...
