Description

This hotel/restaurant in Oberammergau erects a stand on the sidewalk (blue cover) during the holiday season every year. The stand is erected just before Christmas and is taken down just after the beginning of the New Year. During that period the stand is open every day from mid-morning to early evening and sells Bratwurst with mustard on a roll and a variety of different Gluehweins (hot, spiced wines). I looked forward to stopping by every day and have a sausage and a cub of delicious, hot, spiced wine to warm me up. This picture was taken on 24 December 2007. Looks like a great place to stop and be refreshed, Sig. If they had soft pretzels too, that would be even better. This looks like it was just warm enough to melt some snow and ensure that the streets would turn icy after dark.

I also go for Glüehwein, Sig, but am currently remembering the last time I passed this house . This house like so many others in Oberammergau is a jewel of Bavarian architecture. Thank you for sharing!
