Description

Two units, a Sd.Kfz 251-22 an a Sd.Kfz 251-23 of an Aufklarunges (recon) detachment of the 11th Panzer Div. make contact with the leading elements of the attacking 6th Guards Tank Army, New Years' Day 1945 somewhere on the Eastern Front. The halftrack is a freebie from DMI as is the turret from a DMI Sd.Kfz 222. The Pak 40 is from Vanishing point (free at Cornucopia). All vehicles were modified by me. The figures are from Poser. Weather and snow provided by Vue 6I. Oh yeah, the detailed Russian tanks were done by me in Vue......(Ok, Ok, they're little green rectangles) :)

After the Iraqi Freedom penetration I read a lot of books on tank warfare to update to history my first person instruction by military men. Somehow the Jagdpanzers never meet the Stormoviks so I was left kind of panting. Now to see that half tracks had a major innovation let's me know that the White "Superpower" was energizing geopolitics.
