Description
More that 25 hours rendering and i'm still not happy. Does anyone know of a hair product that will stand cleanly on it's head? I had to mess it up too much with my feeble attempt at overpainting the hair for a more natural feel. I think I may re-do this in the future and just paint the hair from scratch. For now it has worn me out though. The image looked so much better in my mind's eye.

I can't remember who made it but Ultimate hair would hang back perfectly in that pose..I'm sure there's a few others but that's the first one that pops into mind..love you pov Robert. Combined with the lighting it looks just like a light from heaven:) Great job! Sammi

Great drama and pose. His expression says volumes and I love how the light plays on his face. The only shortcoming seems to be a lack of shadows on figure contact points - where feet meet ground or where hands contact bodies. Overall a great color scheme. I like the sprinkling of color in the ground cover.

Robert, you might want to take a look at some of the hair by ali here at the RMP; HR-021, H2-030 and HR-031 look like they may do what you're wanting to do, especially the ones with the braided tails. Also at the RMP, keep an eye out for AprilYSH's Vayne Braid if she decides to bring it back. At DAZ, the Ultimate Changing Ponytail and the MoochTail might work, maybe the Strike Ponytail too. As for offerings elsewhere, I can't suggest anything as I'm not too familiar with the other places and their products at the moment. Other than that, Amarseda Hair and Mitsu Hair might also work, but you may have to play around with the dials a bit to get something that looks decent or make use of magnets, your own morph targets or very modest use of dynamic forces.

Well I for one think it looks great, the swaying hair adds to the effect here. Aside from the hair sets mentioned by Rev-23 you may want to consider using dynamic hair in poser, Danamongden has had some success in using it simulate gravity in the way you'd want.

There is a freebie V4 "upside down hair" but I have not tried it. This looks really good I think. The hair seems to be falling away nicely. The effort really shows!

Creative and excellent work! I think the hair is fine, it gives the image motion. But I do understand your point of view and have had the same problem in the past with my work. I still like this image though.

Looks great! The hair is fantastic! If you don't like it though, I use hair brushes w/ smudge and it looks good most of the time!

Any Dynamic property effect needed are usually better realized in other apps than Poser. This is why I use many applications. Hair splines in Cinema 4D, Maya or 3Ds Max are so much more convincing. But not easy to do. Still, a good heroic scene assembly. The overpainting attempt looks quite good, actually!
