I'm impressed with this shot, nice texture and detail. I walk past a tree every day that has the bark peeling away but have never thought of making an interesting shot like this.

Well spotted, great texture, the pealed area looks soooo warm. I wonder is this natural, like a snake sheds its skin and has a new one underneath, will this regenerate bark? I don't think I have ever seen anything like this before. Excellent capture. Bravo!!!!!

Excellent photo! I'd of taken a picture of this too. Nice job on keeping your subject in focus and the remainder of the photo blurred. It works double time to feature the tree and bring the eye to the details of the peeling bark. The warm tones carry right through, suggesting it was summer when it was taken?
