It wasn't destroyed by Henry VIII. It was before the evangelism ended with Saint Bonadventure in a cave. Yet it is surely ruined now.

I like the POV you've chosen for this scene... It allows for the timelessness of the place. When I am standing at a very old site where humanity has been, I wonder how many stood on that spot before and what was in their view and what was on their mind?

Geez, 11th century! That makes this almost as old as dirt! Incredibly wonderful view of these old stone walls. The green grass used as a runner between them is brilliant in this pov.
