Description

It's always fun to see what shows up when looking through a series of fast shots as you don't often see details on the lcd monitor. In low light, iso 640 and a 50% crop, this isn't the best quality, but the capture of the moment was too good to resist. With only so many feeding ports, there is always a bird trying to force his way in and force another one out. This one was being told in no uncertain terms that he was not welcome!! Wonder if he lost a few feathers in the fray. With two others showing their defensive posture, it's the little guy, top right, trying to look around the corner to see what's going on that tickled me. Thanks so much for your kind comments and favs on yesterday's photo manip, and thanks for having a peek at this one.

A wonderful capture and it is amazing how serious some of the birds are when they are eating. Mine are always fighting.

Ah yes, similar to activity in the office, at a fire sale, at home, on the playground...the cute little finches, fighting for dominance, just like people. Again, stellar clarity, colors, textures and lighting in this fine composition, Maria!

Excellent timing for this. I guess he's not a local, lol

All that crowding does make it tough to enjoy one's dinner. I can see why the one is looking to see if any interloper is heading his way. :)

I love this one, Maria. It looks like everybody at the feeder is watching this poor guy get his head perforated LOL. I also noticed that this is upload number 1066, which for some unknown reason has stuck in my mind as the year of the Battle of Hastings. Lots of pointy things and injuries and general nastiness there, too. Very appropriate.

Most excellent! You captured a wonderful moment with the birds feeding. I love that bird feeder, but probably mentioned that before. :o)

Another great shot. I like the one at the top right who is watching the scenery from distance.

You always capture shots that are even better than I see when I go out amongst the birds myself. This way, I don't miss out, though! Keep it up.

OH my, poor little thing! What a big fuss and such bullying! The dynamics almost seems like human reaction to things. This is just a fabulous image! Thank you for sharing!
