Description

Dawn sees the first of many ships over the city,small personal craft cruise among the buildings,larger supply vessels make their way above the towers,military craft zip among them as they head for the nearby airbase and far above them towers a huge battleship on it's way to the interstellar docks on the outskirts of the city.All items created in bryce,textured with photo textures combined with bryce bumpmaps and a customized bryce sky.Photo textures from cgtextures.com. I would like to thank korsheth and rutra for their comments on my first robot image with regards to the lack of proper hands,which ,along with my own knowledge I could do better resulted in the image "Watching the Ships".As a result that image was just chosen for the SciFi Channel's on-line magazine SciFI Weekly and will appear the week of Feb.25 and will go into their gallery archive with works by lown,geirla,orbital and kromekat-artists whose work I admire.An honour! Great Work, Love seeing all the different ships you have built, all in one scene! The buildings in the background look amazing, the ones in the foreground I feel have a bit of a repetition as far as texture goes. Overall an amazing scene, look forward to seeing you progress even further.

As much as I like the ships and aircraft, it's the subtle things that really complete this for me: the contrails from the aircraft, the shadows from them as well, even the misty clouds. This really looks great!
