What is it in human nature that makes people basically working on the same "team" to have conflicts with one another for no good reason?

heh. We go through this at work. I work mornings, for about half of what dinner shift makes. And I always hear them say that we are a drain. but they never seem to forget to leave us THEIR jobs if they don't want to do it. like cleaning the dishes, picking up trash and bussing their tables LOL.
