Description

Been working on Raistlin for a little over a week now but still am not happy with him. Need some advice from those wonderful Dragonlance fans out there. Opinions, ideas, etc. For the set he will be in, see dark and damp, my previous uploaded image. Thanks in advance for all the help JL

Not too bad, he looks a little to "healty" though, particularly in the arms and chest (see all those muscles?) Maybe tone him down a bit and that might help.

Think he looks great so far. All I would like to see is a cowl covering most of his head like in the books and maybe the eyes a bit yellowish with a snake like appearance to them.

I just saw the Dragonlance "Movie" yesterday. I never even knew they made one until I just happen to stumble upon it online. Like you I was kind of disappointed at their attempt of creating a movie version of the books. I think you got a great start here with Raistlin. I love all his gear and components. You can already tell it's him even if you chose not to continue in his 3d creation. LOL. His skin looks great. The hourglass eyes are the tough part. I was messing around in PSP with the warp brush on an existing eye texture. It came out pretty cool, but I accidently deleted my original scene! DOH!!! I think one thing that you're missing that makes it not quite right, since we both seem to be HUGE Dragonlance fans, is the blue outlining with golden runes to his robes. Since you got him in his red robes stage. I know in my scene I was missing his silvery runes on his robes, but I'm not the greatest with paint programs yet. Other than that I think mostly it's the wizard clothes we have to work with that make it not quite right. There's a wizard package over at www.daz3d.com called the Ultimate Wizard. It looks more like the robes that Raistlin would wear. I haven't had the chance to get the package yet to see how they work or how tough it would be to texture the bad boys. I'll be watching your gallery for the updates and for the rest of the cast. Have a great one!

He looks really fabulous to me. The image is a little small for me to be able to see his face. I cannot wait to see what you do with him. Fabulous work my friend !! HUGSSSSSS

Great start so far. I would try to make the hands smaller, they look to big and strong for him in my eyes. The material of the staff looks strange, I do not remember what it was made from, but this most definitly needs work. The skin is a very good start, but looks more yellow than gold to me - especially if you plan to use him in a dark enviroment, you should concider to brighten it up.
