Description

This is my niece, Brittany. I've posted two other portraits of her before, but she's such a joy to shoot ... I never get tired of putting her in front of the camera! The original of this photo wasn't anything to write home about. I had a blast doing the postwork, figuring out level after level of filter applications, finding settings I liked. Each step was an improvement. When I ended up with nothing I liked better than what I had, it was done! I can't tell you when I've had so much fun. :)

Good lighting effects in this portrait of Brittany....not Spears, I hope! Just dig those eyelashes! Yes, lots of fun. Nothing like postwork to engender nuances and subtleties.

This is a gorgeous photo with utterly superb postwork, and yeah, I completely understand the measure of fun you had. There are times when I can spend half a day fiddling around with ONE element of a picture and I always find myself surprised at how much time passed during the process. It's fun and addictive, and the measure of fun you had in this work is obvious in that the work itself looks so naturalistic and almost dream-like. The subtle variations in overall color are utterly fantastic and beguiling, and the whole piece takes on something of a meta-realistic quality. Fantastic. Great shadows as well.

This is a very nicely done portrait, it is really reminiscent of the early days of film which is a splendid effect
