Description

One afternoon we drove to Neuschwanstein, but by the time we got there the sun had already dipped behind the mountains. It was cold and it was getting dark and the light conditions weren't the best. Since I was pressed for time it was difficult to get a good vantage point. The snow was too deep to explore locations and I kept seeing my cousin, wrapped up like an Eskimo, patiently waiting. So I took this shoot to have at least something to bring back. This picture was taken on 26 December 2007. Thank you for viewing and commenting on my last upload.

Splendid shot! Looks like somewhere in the South of Germany.

I understand your problem, Sig, it's the same way here in winter; it just gets dark way too early. The building is fascinating. I'd love to see a more detailed shot of it.

Wow.. this is really interesting and puts this most famous castle in a new perspective for me. I have never seen a shot of it from this POV. Great to see this. Thanks for sharing.

Cold. Griny. Nice angle. Lovely place. Classic Germany. 4 stars.

Yes, it is a bit sad for the lighting conditions, but there's so much power and magic around Neuschwanstein that such a view can't leave anyone indifferent. You make me feel like driving off there for the on-coming holidays !...again:-)

Greetings Siegfried, I would not mind living in the house at the foot of the castle. I would feel very special and so i wonder if the current inhabitant feel the way i do. Have a great day and thank you for sharing. egmont
